During the summer, we started with first changes and renovations to make our visitors’ time under the Belianky more pleasant. It will not be any different during the winter. Therefore, let‘s take a look at the news that awaits us in the upcoming ski season 2023/24 at the Ski Centre Strednica. We bring you an exclusive look at innovations and improvements, and we also attach a photo documentation of the transformations.
Modernization of the infrastructure
The centre has prepared entire improvements to its infrastructure. As part of this, ski supports – columns were sandblasted, which will ensure their longer life and at the same time improve the overall visual impression of the resort. Lubricating all gate stations with Vaseline will help ensure their reliable operation throughout the season.
Stable security
Concreting the beams under the supports is another step towards greater stability and safety of the ski slopes. Inspection of the steel ropes ensures that all cableways are in optimal condition, which also increases our visitors’ safety.
A traditional approach with a touch of modernism
New wooden “Veliny” in Ždiar’s folk design were exhibited for our lift operators. These wooden constructions will not only be functional, but also visually attractive. The small stations will serve as a surveillance point for our lift operators, who will take care of the safe operation. This change is not only practical but also has brought tradition and regional charm to the resort.
Protection of the Environment
As part of an ecological initiative, the resort’s water reservoirs were cleaned and refilled, promoting the sustainable use of natural resources, ensuring a sufficient supply of water for snowmaking, and contributing to the preservation of the local ecosystem.
Snowmaking capacity
Increasing the number of snowmaking cannons was another step towards improving winter conditions for skiers and snowboarders. Cannons will ensure enough snow even if there is less natural snow.
Modern safe energy
The entire renovation process also included the replacement of the electrical installation, which guarantees modern, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of equipment and systems in the centre.
The 2023/24 season at Strednica will bring not only exciting experiences on the slopes, but also modern and sustainable improvements for all of us.
